Do you badly want potatoes to be present in your Thanksgiving meal? You definitely can with this recipe! This mashed potato recipe fits your thanksgiving holidays like no other. Yukon gold and sweet potatoes merged up in one insanely delicious dish. 

The combination is unbelievably tasty and healthy. The richness and starchiness of Yukon gold complements well with the sweetness of sweet potatoes. The flavors ended up just right, not too sweet, not too dull. Not just that, the inclusion of sweet potatoes gives extra nutrient points to this dish. It is incredibly rich in Vitamin A.   

Ingredients:

·         1 pound Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks

·         1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks

·         1/2 cup low-fat milk

·         2 tablespoons butter

·         1 teaspoon brown sugar

·         3/4 teaspoon salt

·         1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper




Procedure:

In a large saucepan filled with enough water, boil Yukon gold and sweet potatoes over high heat for 20-25 minutes. Cook until overly tender when pricked with a fork. Grab a strainer and drain all the potatoes, removing all its fluid.  

Put the potatoes back into the empty saucepan; thoroughly mash them up to the desired consistency. 

Pour milk and butter into a small bowl. Place inside the microwave oven set on High heat for 30 to 40 seconds or until most of the butter is melted and milk is warm enough. 

Another way to do this is to place milk and butter in a small saucepan and set over medium heat until the milk becomes warm. Pour this milk mixture into the mashed potatoes and add sugar, salt and pepper. Stir until well-combined.
